Hair & Make-up Tips for Castings

Hair & Make-up Tips for Castings

When going to a casting you need to have beautiful, flawless make-up. To achieve this you need to follow some basic steps.
1 ) Make sure your foundation is the right shade. The correct shade should disappear into your skin.
2 ) Ensure your foundation is blended in properly, especially around your jaw and hairline.
3 ) If needed, use a small amount of concealer blended into to your foundation.
4 ) Use a loose powder to set your foundation
5 ) Apply a light, natural eye shadow over your entire eyelid from lash line to eyebrow bone. To define the crease of your eyelid use a medium or dark shade, the deeper the shade, the more dramatic look, and blend into the crease. Remember to ‘balance’ the eye shadow under the eye on the lower lash line.
6 ) Apply mascara evenly.
7 ) Don’t forget to fill in your eyebrows – they frame your eyes.
8 ) Apply rouge in gentle circular motions just under your cheekbone. For a different effect, smile and add a dust of pink to the apples of your cheek.
9 ) Add a natural shade of lip balm or gloss to finish your look.
If you have curly hair, keep it curly. If it is straight, keep it straight. You should arrive at the casting with natural looking hair.
10 ) While your hair should look natural, it must still be neat.
11 ) Avoid using hair styling products with alcohol which dries out hair.
12 ) Avoid putting hair styling products directly on your scalp, if you put it on your scalp you’ll clog the pores on your head
13 ) A healthy lifestyle will mean healthier hair for you. Excessive stress, smoking, not exercising and not eating nutritiously are not healthy for your hair.
If you follow these steps and with a great attitude you will increase your chances of being selected!!
